Troubleshooting steps for determining if your mCP X 3 in 1 is faulty.





Troubleshooting action Did the step work? Action required if yes Did the step work? Action required if no.
1. Turn off throttle hold. Y No action required N Proceed to step 2
2. Inspect 3 in 1 for visibly damaged FETs or other parts Damaged 3 in 1 repair required No damage Proceed to step 3
3. Ensure motors are plugged into the 3 in 1 board correctly Y No action required N Proceed to step 4
4. Test motor by plugging it directly into a proper power source.  Stock batteries work well for this. Y Proceed to step 5 N Replace faulty motor and/or motor wiring
5. Do servos respond to TX input? Y Proceed to step 6 N Troubleshoot binding or faulty TX
6. Board failure very likely.  Repair 3 in 1 board.

Turn transmitter off


1. Inspect 3 in 1 for visibly damaged FETs or other parts Damaged 3 in 1 repair required No damage Proceed to step 2
2. Does motor run immediately when the battery is connected? Y Repair defective 3 in 1 N Proceed to step 3
Turn TX on and bind
3. Does the tail run full power with minimal throttle input from TX? Y Proceed to step 4 N Proceed to step 5
4. Reverse the tail motor plug. Y No action required N Proceed to step 5
5. 3 in 1 board damage possible.  Repair board if required.

Is this a Version 2 board Y Proceed to step 1 N Proceed to step 2
1. Attempt to bind the board to TX while holding full right rudder during the entire binding process. Y No action required N Proceed to step 3
2. Attempt to bind board to TX while giving no rudder or aileron commands during the entire binding process Y No action required N Proceed to step 3
3.  If using a computerized TX create a new model from scratch and attempt to bind to that model.  If using a non computerized TX attempt to bind to a different TX. Y Troubleshoot TX/no action required N Proceed to step 4
4.  Place the TX antenna an inch or less from the 3 in 1 and attempt to bind Y Troubleshoot TX or 3 in 1 antenna N Proceed to step 5
5. Place the TX antenna 10' from the 3 in 1 and attempt to bind Y No action required N Proceed to step 6
6. 3 in 1 board damage likely.  Repair 3 in 1 board
